Thanks for the heads up. I'll check it out. I only buy albums, though, so recommendations on singles are only pointers to bands I might like, but I'm definitely interested in finding music I'm not familiar with.

Rush, Test For Echo has grown on me over the years. Resist is so much better as the acoustic ballad version they did on the Vapor Trails tour, though. Some of the songs border on cheese lyrically (something I'd never thought I'd say about Peart's lyrics) but there are some real standout songs on that one.

If you want my opinion on a starting point for Pantera, just get Vulgar Display of Power and forget about the rest.

Also, I tried to like Korn. I really did. But I just didn't find most of their songs that interesting even after multiple listens. I think the only songs I liked were off of Follow the Leader. There was the single, Got the Life, and the opener is a pretty good one, It's On!.

Test For Echo seems to be an album that only hardcore fans appreciate. It's the one studio album I don't own (discounting Feedback).

I actually don't care much for Follow the Leader -- it's one of the few albums I've ever sold. Got the Life, It's On! and Freak on a Leash are all great songs, but the album version of Freak isn't as good as the single remix by Butch Vig, and there's a lot of other junk on that album. The only Korn album I own is Twister Transistor, which I really like, even though it's a change of pace from their previous stuff.

As for Pantera, I thought about just getting/requesting Vulgar Display, but the Greatest Hits package has the best songs from VDoP as well as some other good stuff. I'd probably be happier just getting Vulgar, though. Thanks for the advice.
